WHO WE AREOUR PHILOSOPHY

DEVELOPING THE PERSON:
At EAA Volleyball, we believe youth sports should be fun, welcoming, and filled with opportunities to build friendships. Our recreational Futures program is designed to create teams centered around schools and neighborhoods, so kids can share the experience with classmates and friends from their community. Along the way, athletes learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence—all while enjoying the game in a positive and supportive environment. We want every player to feel included, connected, and excited to step on the court each week.

DEVELOPING THE ATHLETE:
In EAA Futures Volleyball, the focus is on learning the game, building skills, and most importantly, having fun. Our goal is to provide an environment where kids can grow at their own pace while experiencing the joy of being part of a team. Whether it’s their first time playing or they’ve been on the court before, athletes get the chance to improve, celebrate successes, and create lasting memories. By keeping the emphasis on fun and community, we help each child develop a love for volleyball that can last a lifetime.

HOW ARE TEAMS FORMED?

CAN I MAKE TEAMMATE/COACH REQUESTS DURING REGISTRATION?

EAA strives to honor all teammate/coach requests; however, due to roster size limits, we are unable to guarantee all requests will be honored.

CAN MY CHILD PLAY IN AN AGE GROUP ABOVE OR BELOW THEIR BIRTH YEAR?

Players may not participate in an age group below their birth year (“play down”). Players may only participate in an age group above their birth year (“play up”) with approval from the Volleyball Director.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I WOULD LIKE TO COACH?

First, THANK YOU! Every youth sports program depends on the spirit and energy of volunteers. You will have an opportunity to indicate you are willing to volunteer as a head or assistant coach when you register your child.  All volunteer coaches are required to successfully complete all EAA coaching requirements prior to receiving their team roster and coaching their team at practice and games- no exceptions.

WHEN WILL I FIND OUT WHICH TEAM MY CHILD IS ON?

Coaches will receive their rosters at the coaches meeting typically two weeks prior to the start of the season. Your child’s coach will contact you with season details following their coaches meeting. Coaches will receive their rosters only after they have completed all EAA coaching requirements.

HOW DO I FIND OUT PRACTICE AND GAME STATUS WHEN SEVERE WEATHER IS POSSIBLE?

Any change in practice or game schedules will be communicated by your athlete’s coach.
