EAA Soccer Leadership Announcement

August 30, 2023

EAA Coaches and Families:

The Elkhorn Athletic Association (EAA) is excited to announce Anne Leboo as Senior Director of Soccer. She is replacing Rob Herringer, who is joining the United Soccer Coaches National Office in Kansas City as the Director of Coaching Education.

Anne is from Topeka, Kansas, and played at Benedictine College (KS).  Before beginning her coaching career, Leboo was a two-time All-Conference player for the Ravens and helped lead the team to the national tournament for the first time in program history.  After graduation, Leboo began her coaching career at her alma mater as an assistant coach from 2010-2014, helping lead the team to Top 25 finishes in four of those years.  During her tenure at Benedictine, the team saw multiple regular season championships in the Heart of America Conference and finished ranked as high as 7th, nationally.

In August of 2015, Leboo joined the Elkhorn Soccer Club as the Director of Recreational Soccer.  Since then, she has been a part of every aspect of the club including being the club's administrator, coaching Select teams, and leading the Hive Academy in multiple capacities.  Leboo continued her work with the club after merging with the Elkhorn Athletic Association.

Leboo has her USC Premier Diploma, United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma, and was a member of the NSCAA 30 Under 30 (2016-17) program being recognized as an up-and-coming coach who is leading the way in developing soccer players and enhancing the game.

Anne will be responsible for the overall soccer club leadership, including the strategic direction for player and coach development, college pathway programs, tournaments, day-to-day operations, and fiduciary oversight.

In addition, Laurel Reineke will be assuming the Registrar's duties for soccer.  Laurel’s primary duties will be to ensure players, parents, and coaches have a positive experience within the mission, vision, and values of the organization.  Laurel graduated from the University of Nebraska- Kearney with a degree in Exercise Science and went on to complete her Master's Degree in Sports Management at Wayne State. She has experience working guest services at the YMCA and coaching soccer and basketball. Laurel was a multi-sport athlete and competed in basketball, soccer, and golf.

We believe both Anne and Laurel’s various youth and collegiate sports experiences, along with their customer service and coaching experiences, will provide valuable contributions to EAA, our players, parents, and coaches.

We are also extremely excited to have seasoned professionals assume the soccer program leadership.

Sincerely,

Kevin Almquist
Soccer Committee President
