Field Priorities & Responsibilities
Game fields are the top priority for daily maintenance and updates. Due to the number of fields, not all locations are evaluated every day. Coaches are responsible for checking the condition of their assigned practice spaces.
Practice Field Use
Unless otherwise posted, coaches are responsible for determining if a practice field is safe to use.
Do NOT use practice fields if:
There is standing water
The surface leaves noticeable imprints
The field is overly wet, slick, or unsafe for athletes
If part of the field is unplayable (e.g., wet infield or muddy goal area), you may use a dry section such as the outfield or sideline area when safe.
Game Day Decisions
If fields are listed as open, games are playable. However, if weather conditions worsen by game time, the decision to cancel, suspend, or continue the game will be made at the field by the officials and coaches.
Field Update Timing
Weekdays (Mon–Fri): Field updates are posted between 3:00–4:00 p.m.
Weekends: Updates will be posted approximately 2 hours before the first scheduled game.
The website and social media channels are only updated when closures occur. Consecutive open days will not have a new time stamp.
Out-of-Town Games
For away games hosted by other clubs or leagues, please contact the opposing coach or organization directly for field status.
Communication
If your scheduled game is affected by a field closure, notify the opposing coach as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary travel.
